Week #23 – Rossmann HR 400

Rossmann HR 400

Work and other stuff is eating up my week and more often than not I’m out of town for the weekend. So basically there’s no time for all the scanning, removal of dust and scratches, editing and writing needed for a blog entry. Guess I have to save time somewhere in the future… will probably start with dust/scratches.

Or you do it like now – being finished with work shortly after midnight and doing the blog “work” after that. All the films and developing costs add up as well and I’m in slowly growing fear, that by the end of the year it all will amount to a 4 digit figure.

Okay okay, enough with the worrying and more images!

Week #22 – Rollei Crossbird 200

Rollei Crossbird 200 (Rollei CR 200 with C-41 label)
Rollei Crossbird 200 (Rollei Chrome/Digibase CR 200 with C-41 label)

And here’s the next batch of my long weekend trip. This time it’s a cross processed Rollei Crossbird 200. Turns out it’s just a Rollei Chrome/Digibase CR 200 with another label.

It was one hour before sunset and raining like mad. But Matthias, who organized the trip, looked at a weather app on his smart phone and said: “Let’s go!”. We drove through rain and rain and rain and everything was behind clouds. But after half an hour or so the world turned into magic. Faint red at the horizon, Clouds raining over forests, mist walking through the landscape. I was so happy, that we did leave the house and didn’t stay indoors. Thanks again!

Very low light, exposure times of 1+ second. Color all over the place. Photos were as much color corrected, as possible. The original scans were bright orange and nearly unusable – at least for my personal taste.

Week #21 – Fujichrome Provia 100F

Fujifilm Fujichrome Provia 100F (120 Medium Format)
Fujifilm Fujichrome Provia 100F (120 Medium Format)

It’s been a while. I finally moved to a new apartment (within the same city). The office (aka living room) is filled with the humming sound of a scanner and the rustling of negative sleeves again.

There are still a lot of negatives of my trip to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains to scan and film of my trip to Potsdam and a family wedding to develop. So I hope I can find back to the usual rythm of weekly updates.
